Are You Frustrated?
Are you confused by all the conflicting words of advice out there on How to Blog? You’re not alone. I know the more I read, sometimes the less I feel I know. And yet, we know that websites with a blog get approximately 55% more traffic than websites without a blog. Even if no one reads it! Why? Because a blog continually shows new content being added to your website. And search engine algorithms love new content!
Today, authors, artists and business owners are expected to be quite self-reliant when it comes to marketing, including regular blog posts. Did I just see you cringe? For some people, it’s the ultimate in torture.
Here are Some Answers!
When I finished watching this video, I couldn’t wait to share it with my writer friends on my personal blog. But I think this is valuable information for business owners as well. I believe it clears up many questions most of us have about how best to blog. The concise step-by-step guidelines inspired me – and hopefully you will find help here, as well.
This podcast is the sixth episode of This is Your Life, with Michael Hyatt, a blogger with over a decade of experience, and co-host, Michele Cushatt. Michael Hyatt is also author of the New York Times bestseller, Platform: Get Noticed in a Noisy World.
Listen and Learn
I strongly urge you to set aside some time to watch this – It’s well worth the 35 minutes – as Michael clearly explains the 10 Mistakes Bloggers Make. Valid points are made, and it’s full of good advice and resources, from someone who has consistently blogged over the years. He doesn’t mind telling you about the mistakes he made and what he learned from them, as well as sharing the success stories. I recommend you check out Michael Hyatt’s Blog page as well, to keep up with his posts.
I’d love to hear feedback from you – did you find it helpful?
